The extensive folklore and storytelling traditions of the Geopark are well known and well documented, with many being inspired by the spectacular landscapes and features within the Geopark.  There is a strong craft sector within the Geopark, with product ranging from cosmetics, jewelery, artworks and pottery being commonplace.  In fact, the village of Belleek is most famous for its parian china produced at Belleek Pottery, the oldest pottery in Ireland. The location of the pottery is no coincidence as all of the raw materials necessary for production were at one time sourced from within the Geopark.
