Description
Olatz is a closed valley covering an area of about 125 hectares and which was formed when the limestone reef from the Lower Cretaceous dissolved. In response to a recent decrease in the water table, the profile of the polgé is readjusting by developing dolines and entrenching rivers, which carry their waters to the great Kobalde sinkhole.
