The Serra de Santa Bárbara Interpretation Centre (CISSB) aims to be the starting point for understanding the natural heritage of the Terceira Natural Park.

Here visitors will experience the geomorphological process of formation and evolution of the island and its relation to areas of high interest in terms of bio and geodiversity.

Visitors also have the opportunity to “travel” to the past understanding the influence of human interaction with the environment, with emphasis on the use of the areas that currently are part of the Park.

It also provides support information to visiting and discovering the Natural Park.
